The 2021 Group Stage draw for both the Canale Cup and Elaine Watson Cup took place from Football Brisbane Headquarters today, setting the stage for the return of both competitions after they were cancelled in 2020.
Canale Cup
This year’s iteration of the Canale Cup sees all VILIC Law Capital League 2 and VILIC Law Capital League 3 teams drawn into five groups of four.
Following the group stage, eight teams will progress and be redrawn into the Round 32 stage alongside all Brisbane Premier League and VILIC Law Capital League 1 and begin the knockout phase of the competition.

Elaine Watson Cup
The 2021 Elaine Watson cup begins by seeing all Women’s Capital League teams drawn into two groups of five teams with the top four from each group progressing to the knockout stage.
Following the group stage, the eight teams that advance will be drawn into the Round of 16 stage alongside the remaining eight Brisbane Women’s Premier League sides and begin the knockout phase of the competition.

Following both of today’s draws, the clubs involved in the group stages will begin to confirm exact dates and times of games with fixtures.
