Football Brisbane and Cannon Logistics recently joined forces to reinforce our Enough Is Enough campaign for the 2020 season, as we continue to strive for respect for all our members – referees, players, coaches and volunteers, both on and off the field during matches.
With the support of Cannon Logistics, Football Brisbane has produced specially designed Ground Official’s bibs that have been distributed to every Football Brisbane affiliated club, with each club receiving two bibs to be used throughout the season on game days.
Cannon Logistics Owner and Director Zac Popov said, “It’s important we continue to respect each other within the game and that our referees in particular feel respected and not threatened when carrying out their duties.”
He added, “There’s no place in our game for racial or discriminatory abuse towards any individual. All participants of the game should be able to enjoy the experience of playing, coaching, officiating and the game in general, without fear of vilification.”
Football Brisbane Commercial Manager Gemma Smallfield said of the partnership, “It’s great to have the support of Cannon Logistics for the ongoing Enough is Enough campaign that was rolled out in 2019.”
She added, “By supporting us with the Ground Officials bibs for every club and getting the messaging out to the public on game days that everyone should respect each other, we can hopefully achieve an environment that is an enjoyable one for all our members, in particular our referees who are far too often the victims of abusive behaviour.”
Be sure to look out for club’s Ground Officials in their bibs as those pictured above with Football Brisbane General Manager Rafe Griffin and Zac Popov from Cannon Logistics.
