Football Brisbane is pleased to announce David Minnis and Sam Unicomb as our new competition and leagues administrators for 2020.
David joins Football Brisbane having been involved with several clubs within Football Brisbane, most recently Brisbane City as their Academy Director, and is eager and excited by the opportunity. ‘I am excited by this new opportunity with Football Brisbane and to be working with all clubs, and am looking forward to being a part of the continued growth of the game here in Brisbane’.
Sam most recently worked for Volleyball Queensland and the Griffith University Tennis Centre and has a background in Sports Administration, graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Sports Management.
Sam said of his appointment, “I am looking forward to the new challenges ahead that this role will bring me and I hope I can provide valuable input to the organisation to help the football community.”
Both Sam and David have officially started with Football Brisbane as of January 6th and will be responsible for day to day competition inquiries, competition fixtures and results and leading communication with our clubs and stakeholders.
With the addition of David and Sam to the Competitions Team in 2020, this will see Sarah Dixon move into the role of Competitions Team Leader. Sarah joined the team in July 2019 after a successful Management career with DHL, to further pursue her passion for football. This previous supervisory experience, coupled with her involvement in club operations within the Football Brisbane landscape, will assist in leading the day-to-day operations of the Competitions Team.
Sarah said, “I can’t wait to strengthen existing relationships and build rapport with more of our clubs, so together we can continuously improve this wonderful sport.”
