There have been two recent resignations from the Football Brisbane Board of Directors.
Rachel Blake has resigned due to work commitments. and Director and Chairman Jeremy Medina has also resigned.
The circumstances behind Jeremy’s resignation is that he will be running for the Football Queensland Board at their upcoming AGM on 25 July and the FQ Constitution prevents someone currently sitting on a Zone Board from being able to run for the FQ Board.
The Board of Directors would like to thank Rachel and Jeremy for their work and valuable contributions to Football Brisbane over the last few years.
At the July Board meeting on Tuesday night, the Football Brisbane Board of Directors ratified that the vacant positions on the Board should be elected by clubs by way of an election at a General Meeting.
Given the current situation for clubs in resuming competitions at the end of July, it is intended that a call for nominations for the Director positions will occur in the week of 27 July with the General Meeting to take place in the week of 17 August once the necessary 21 days notice has been provided to clubs.
In the meantime, Deputy Chairman Kerry Harmon will take on the Chairman roles and responsibilities until a new Chairman is elected after the General Meeting.
